Created attachment 145748 [details] changing heights SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enter edit mode 2. change the icons-only task manager height from 40 to 38 3. OBSERVED RESULT The applications menu's icon gets much smaller than it should mismatching the other icons in the panel. EXPECTED RESULT The applications menu's icon gets smaller at the same proportion than the other icons in the panel. You need to decrease the height a bit more to 36, than the other icons "dramatically" reduce in size and they fit, but the ideal was that all matched at height 38. Maybe this happens because there are not enough version of the icons, there isn't a size 38 for that icon, right? SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I can confirm this happens. I couldn't find a duplicate for this bug, but maybe this bug (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434324) could be related to it and the same fix could be applied to the menu button.
This is actually intentional. At that panel height, *all* icons get smaller, not just the Kickoff icon. The idea here is that they all share the same size at that panel height.
