Description jimbo 2022-01-21 15:50:15 UTC
Both of these actions require a 'per file' action. Kate should allow the user to set these behaviors as default. If the file has been changed outside Kate, I would like it to always reload. If the file has been deleted outside of Kate, II would like it to always close without prompts. Thanks.

There is a setting under behavior:

Show dialog for externally modified files

This will allow you to reload everything at once. Does it fixes your problem?

No that just changes how the dialog is shown (instead of a blue dropdown box within Kate it shows as a separate dialog box). I'd like to set the default behaviour so that no prompt is shown.

I would also like such a feature.

Yeah, I would much appreciate a feature like this. Currently I have to re-enable auto-reload every single time I open a document, even the same document, if it was closed. The auto-reload status is never saved for any reason. I'd at least like to be able to remember the auto-reload status per-file, ideally have it to be configurable to remember globally.
