SUMMARY I assume it is desirable for Folder View to mimic Dolphin as much as possible. When right-clicking a file, there are now to inconsistencies: 1) Folder view is missing the "Duplicate file" action (and ctrl+D shortcut). I would love it if it could be added to Dolphin view. 2) When selecting a file, uner the first separator, in Dolphin, there is no action called "Paste one file/Paste x Items". In Folder view, there is. I Would expect that this option should only be available in Folder view when rightclicking on the desktop, not on a file or a folder.
Let's use this to track implementing "Duplicate", which right now is Dolphin-specific. Can you file a new bug report for the other thing?

I just noticed the difference in menu when clickin on a folder between Dolphin and Folder view are much greater. Should I open bugs for those? (I wanted to open a folder in terminal, impossible from Folder View).
Yes, go ahead.
This also affects the context menu of a directory, not just file. Does that need to be splitted into another bug? Otherwise the other bugs are: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=451217 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=451216 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=451215 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=451214
By the way, I just realize that when one goes to Configure Dolphin>Toolbars, by default "Delete" and "Copy to and Move to" commands are not included by default. When I turned them on, they do not appear in Folder view. I am not sure how all this is implemented - to me, Folder view should behave as Dolphin by default, unless there is a sound reasoning why they should behave differently.
