SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. view source folder (on the computer) and destination (on remote device) folder side by side (split view) 2. copy a large file (or files) 3. copy is quite slow - now close dolphin, and observe an order of magnitude better copy speed. OBSERVED RESULT When not watching the destination and source folders while copying with dolphin, the copy speed is much greater. EXPECTED RESULT It should not matter if we view the folder while copying... SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.89.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ssh seems to be receiving a lot of data while copying with dolphin viewing the folder (about the same receive data rate as send), once dolphin is closed, ssh doesn't receive any data, and send data rate increases dramatically.
