SUMMARY

When search term is entered and special KCM is opened by an external app, the middle panel in the SystemSettings doesn't close on clearing the search.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Open Systemsettings and search for eg. 'nightcolor'
2.  Open the plasma-nm applet and click on "configure connections"

OBSERVED RESULT
The SystemSettings will open with the "network connections" KCM panel on the right side.
On the left and in the middle, there are still the remainings of the search. If you clear the search field, the middle panel still remains unnecessarily open.

EXPECTED RESULT
At least close the middle panel, when the search is cleared. Not quiet sure, what would give the best UX, but the currently situation feels somehow wrong.
