Middle-click on the volume icon in the system tray (the speaker symbol)?
Comment 2 Patrick Silva 2022-01-18 14:42:37 UTC
are you unable to mute notifications in Audio module of System Settings?

This way you mute all sounds.

Not only me, nobody is able for there's no option. E.g. try to stop the sound when you delete a file. I'm forced to delete them all and this is not normal.

What do you mean exactly? Are you saying that there is no option to mute system notification sounds? Or that the option does not work for you when you use it?
Comment 5 Nick Stefanov 2022-01-20 22:30:43 UTC
Yes, I'm saying that there is no option to mute system notification sounds. I tried hard to find it.

"notification sounds" in Autoi KCM

So you don't see this?
Comment 7 Nick Stefanov 2022-01-21 00:31:32 UTC
Where should I search it? There's no such option in System Settings. Fast search on Google shows that many people doesn't find it too. Please tell me where it is. Thanks :)
Comment 8 Nate Graham 2022-01-21 00:34:18 UTC
It's on the "Audio" page, as my screenshot shows.
Comment 9 Nick Stefanov 2022-01-21 00:41:35 UTC
Oh, I didn't notice the attachment, I'm sorry. Last time I checked it wasn't there, may be some update was brought it back. Thank you :)

Comment 11 Jens Ramke 2022-01-31 15:13:34 UTC
Is there a way to disable the "volume change" sound?
I've already muted the notification sound.
Comment 12 Nate Graham 2022-01-31 18:54:08 UTC
That should also mute the "volume changed" sound. Does it not?

I just realized it only mutes the first sound. All following sounds are played again.
Changing the volume manually (without the keyboard keys) still leaves the first volume change by keyboard muted.

Seems like a bug. Can you file a new bug report for it? This one is about something else.
