SUMMARY Inside the new kickoff application launcher, pressing the Sleep button does perform the intended function but does not close the application menu. Since there is no visual feedback sometimes i wonder if i've hit the button and if anything is happening in the few seconds it takes to put the system to sleep. And then after it wakes up the application menu is still there open. In my opinion this behavior is a bit confusing and pressing Sleep should immediately close the application menu. I believe many of the other DEs have it set up that way too. I also wonder if not having it behave like a standard button and not closing the application menu opens the possibility of accidentally hitting Sleep twice. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open the application menu 2. Press Sleep OBSERVED RESULT The system goes to suspend but the application menu is still visible. EXPECTED RESULT The application launcher is closed immediately. This should be fixed in Plasma 5.25.
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > This should be fixed in Plasma 5.25. Can confirm on clean user account on 5.25 with both X11 and Wayland. On my regular user account it still has the old behavior for some reason though. Must be some config i changed.
