Description indecisiveautomator 2022-01-15 23:11:31 UTC
SUMMARY
When clicking on a desktop while the overview effect is present, the effect does not fade out on other displays like it does when a window is clicked. Instead there is no animation on the other displays and the effect just stops.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Toggle Overview effect (e.g., with a hot corner)
2. Click on a desktop from the row at the top
3. There is no transition back to desktop on other displays, the displays simply returns to normal.

OBSERVED RESULT
The displays return to normal with no fade effect when selecting a desktop from the Overview effect.

EXPECTED RESULT
The other displays should return to normal with a fade effect, the same way it does when a window is clicked.

Sadly still a problem with 5.26 Beta.

It would be nice if this was fixed in a future release of Plasma. It isn't critical but clicking on another display and having all other displays just suddenly "pop" onto the other desktop is a bit jarring
