Description Maxim Egorushkin 2022-01-12 13:23:47 UTC
Touchpad System Settings don't apply upon reconnecting Apple Magic Trackpad 2.

I set "Tap-to-click" option in System Settings, Touchpad for device "Apple Magic Inc. Trackpad 2". When I reboot or reconnect the trackpad this option is set but has no effect, which is a bug.

I have to disable "Tap-to-click", apply, enable it again and apply for it to come into effect.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Connect the trackpad, set "Tap-to-click" and apply.
Observe that it has an effect.
Reboot.
Connect the trackpad.

OBSERVED RESULT
Observe that despite "Tap-to-click" option being set, it has no effect.

EXPECTED RESULT
"Tap-to-click" option comes into effect.
