Could you attach a screen recording that shows the issue?

Does it happen with the Breeze Plasma theme, and not the Oxygen Plasma theme?

I'm using Oxygen.
I tried to install a screen recorder, but failed, and gave up after 1 hour wasted. After all, it's not that big an issue, and I'm using my computer exclusively for working. I just wanted to report that this issue exists, while my laptop is on battery for an extended time. Now I'm home again, the laptop is attached to its docking station, and everything is fine. The battery icon disappears when the battery is charged, and appear when it's off the cable. I assume this issue has something to do with this switching logic, but it could be for my Thinkpad P52 only, and I'm not ready to spend again hours for bug hunting, because I have ample of productive work to do … which was exactly the reason why I migrated from Gentoo to Kubuntu stable.

So it's not happening for you anymore? Not even when it's on battery?

If you manage to make it happen again, does it keep happening if you use Breeze instead of Oxygen?
