SUMMARY Even so using a cloned mac address for a connection details dialog shows device mac address (ethtool -P) rather than currently used mac address. This seems wrong to me. It might even be better to show (only or in addition) bssid (see bug 357354) for wifi connections. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set up a (wifi) connection with cloned mac address 2. Connect using this connection 3. Check details and compare to ifconfig information OBSERVED RESULT Mac addresses differ: nm-plasma seems to display "wrong" mac address EXPECTED RESULT Mac addresses are identical, nm-plasma uses actual used mac address SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux / OpenSuSE 15.3 KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.6 nm-plasma Version 5.18.5-bp153.2.2.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 5:76.0 Qt Version: 5.12.7 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
