SUMMARY *** NO CRASH - I need to have Kasts store the downloads on another internal drive. The settings of Kasts ignores my selection of another drive, and in fact, any other location. /run/user/1000/doc/6284979a/Kasts - is what shows up and is unchangeable. I assume this is the default location. Is there anything I can do to get Kasts to store downloads on an actual location of my choosing? Thank you. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. go to Kasts' Settings > Storage Settings 2. uncheck "Use default path" - click on "Select folder..." button and select any place on any drive, even Home directory 3. Close settings and restart OBSERVED RESULT /run/user/1000/doc/6284979a/Kasts shows up as the storage path - the chosen path remains empty EXPECTED RESULT That my chosen storage path would be used - proceed with enjoyment SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: MX Linux 21 (based on stable Debian) (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION on a fresh install of the above OS
I originally used the FlatPak version, then removed it and then used the one from Discover. The results were the same.
SOLVED It does now download episodes to the proper location - but the Storage Settings still claims it is "/run/user/1000/doc/6284979a/Kasts" So now that I see them stored, I notice that they are all titled w random numbers - Is there anyway for Kasts to store them with titles that relate to the shows and episodes? I archive most and a pseudo-random title makes Kasts' files pointless. Thank you
You're probably still using the flatpak, and i guess what happens is that the flatpak sandbox uses some symlink to the actual path for internally. That's something we should fix. For the filenames, we currently do that for easier handling of unusual file names, maybe that will change in the future
