SUMMARY *** When I open a .zip archive (that was produced by a different pgm) with krarc, (german) umlauts (ä,ö,ü etc.) are incorrectly displayed; eg "Füchtlinge" becomes "FlБchtlinge". I don't find an option to configure the codepage of .zip archives (if this helps, anyway). *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a .zip archive which has (german) umlauts in folder or file names 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Umlauts not correct EXPECTED RESULT Umlauts should be correct SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 5.23 KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.89.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Kernel Version: 5.11.0-43-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 12 × Intel® Core™ i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz Memory: 15.6 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti/PCIe/SSE2
PS: in ark (v21.12.0) itself, umlauts are shown correctly.
It does not happen to me using the git version of Krusader. Can you follow the steps of https://commits.kde.org/krusader?path=INSTALL in order to build the git version of Krusader and tell us if your problem is solved?
Dear Toni, I'm sorry but this is beyond my capabilities. BR, Thorsten
