SUMMARY

I have the application menu widget in the far left of my always visible top panel. I have the press super/meta to activate Application Launcher option enabled in latte settings to open the application menu with my windows key, and usually it works fine. However, sometimes it stops working completely (no response at all from windows key), and disabling + re-enabling the option doesn't do anything. I've tried to set the shortcut for the widget itself to alt+f1 and in shortcuts->latte dock->activate application launcher widget, but settings those doesn't help either.
A restart has so far consistently fixed the issue.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Normal usage
2. Bug randomly occurs

OBSERVED RESULT
Super/meta key randomly stops opening application menu widget

EXPECTED RESULT
Super/meta key opens application menu widget in top latte panel

Probably a kwin issue. I never have such issue in my system. It should also be reproducable with plasma panels. Users have reported that usually occurs after opening a computer after sleeping it. Nothing related to Latte.

Take also note that Latte does not require from you to set a shortcut.

Waiting concrete way to reproduce.

So should I file another bug under kwin? I'm not 100% sure, but I think I remember a few times where the bug occurred randomly during normal usage with screen on, so I'm not sure how to find a concrete way to reproduce it.

I can't find any concrete way to replicate the issue. The first occurrence on a boot/session seems random (not necessarily after sleep), but after that 1st occurrence, it'll consistently break again very quickly (10 min or so).
I can temporarily fix it by restarting kwin, but like I said, it'll recur very rapidly.
I think it only happens with x11, but I can't switch to wayland just yet because of other bugs there.
