Every couple of days, plasma refuses to connect to my main wifi network. It asks for the password endlessly but gives no error. security is WPA, passowrd is set to be encrypted for all users unencrypted. The router is a UPC Connect Box (given by the company) - I've reset it multiple times, other devices have no problem connecting to it. my laptop can connect to other wifi networks. (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #5) > Is this still happening with newer software? I don't have that device anymore, but I haven't noticed it for a long time on other devices.
Unfortunately it didn't disappear, it's happening again with another device. Sometimes a few times a day, sometimes every couple mintues I get: 1. Notification about the network being disonnected 2. Notification about "The authenticator agent has time out." 3. Popup with "Wrong password, enter a new password." 4. Then I enter my password and it works again for a while. Since the first time I reported it I also changed routers. 03:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Can you do a bit of troubleshooting to try to narrow this down? e.g.: - Try in a new clean user account on the same computer - Try verifying that the router settings are sane - Try verifying that it isn't a weak connection, by moving the laptop right next to the router - Try verifying that no metal parts are touching the wifi antennas on the computer - Try switching out the Wi-Fi card for another one, if you have one handy (this solved a similar problem for me a few months ago) Otherwise there's likely nothing we can do to figure out what's going on here.
