Kickoff Scrollbar

SUMMARY
The current default Kickoff height shows a scrollbar with tiny scroll area instead of the menu being a bit taller and not requiring a scrollbar.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Kickoff on a default setup

OBSERVED RESULT
There is a scrollbar.

EXPECTED RESULT
There is no scrollbar by default.

Unfortunately this is not generically fixable due to differences in fonts, scaling, installed apps etc.

That said, it would be fixed for you if https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-desktop/-/merge_requests/699 is merged.

This is mooted by the changes in Plasma 5.26 to make the popup resizable, so now you can make it perfectly able to accommodate as many list items as you want without scrolling, no matter what font or font size you use.

The only remaining issue would be to make it do this by default, which doesn't have a high enough reward-to-effort ratio methinks. Closing, sorry. :)
