SUMMARY

Red eye tool creates empty image

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Edit image with obvious red  eye problems
2. Enhance - Red Eye...
3. Reset to defaults using 'Defaults'

OBSERVED RESULT
The after image is completely black
Saving the image and viewing is also completely black
Original image size is ~ 3MiB
After image size is ~ 151Kib (and contains different but similar binary data to the orginal)

EXPECTED RESULT
Some sort of useful image with a bit of red eye reduction.

Note: The only documentation I could find did not match my screen view - see attachment.

Problem is not reproducible here with 7.4.0 release.

Please install digiKam 7.4.0 for Windows and try again.

OK That's solved the problem, many thanks for prompt reply.
I did check the release notes but didn't find a match.
Actually while doing the install I re-imported the faces library. It might be that was the issue too?

In digiKam-7.2.0 the face models were still included in the installer and had to be reinstalled with each new version. Now they are downloaded once and remain on the computer even after an update and the installers are much smaller.
