SUMMARY

I often select something out of the drawing i want to erase, and to do this i use the lasso select then press ctrl x to cut, when doing this sometimes instead of cutting what is just inside the selection tool it cuts the whole layer so i have to undo 



STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. lazzo tool on a part of the drawing
2. cut tool to get rid of something

I can't confirm that it only happens with lasso or with the all selection tools tho. I almost always use lasso.

I can't confirm, but what is probably going on here is that the action that cuts is asking the node manager to cut before the selection tool has had a chance to finish up it's selection and tell the node manager about it. This also means that proly noone who doesn't have this workflow can confirm, because this kind of speed is only possible if you're practiced in making a selection and then immediately cutting, so I'll mark it as confirmed for now.

Similar behavior happens with lasso + move tool sometimes.

I'm not sure it's related, krita sometimes stuck in a state that you just see the marching ants you made on the canvas that won't dissapear and can't deselect, make a selection, move/copy/paste anything with selections etc.

After about 15 minutes of testing on AppImages I have not been able to reproduce this bug in any version of Krita, so I'm marking it as NEEDSINFO for now. If the bug is still around in 5.2.9 or later, please set it back to confirmed :)
