SUMMARY

When there are many larger images in the clipboard, trying to scroll through them with the scrollbar to the end causes many disorienting jumps.

It may have something to do with another type of issue: when you hover over those big elements created by the images, it causes the view to jump so that the full image is revealed rather than doing nothing, which is also disorienting behavior in my opinion.

This behavior may still occur even if the mouse pointer is explicitly on the scrollbar or outside of it.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Copy many images into the clipboard
2. Try to scroll through them holding the mouse button and dragging the applet's scrollbar

OBSERVED RESULT
The scroll is very jumpy

EXPECTED RESULT
The scroll is smooth and normal.

Can reproduce even with the port to the new scrollview. Looks like the same root cause as Bug 387797, which is caused by the index of items being inappropriately changed on hover or scroll.
