I couldn't open cbr file types with Okular until I installed unrar and libunrar. I thought that the problem was resolved until I noticed some cbr files worked while others didn't. What was different between the two cbr files was the folder structure when opened with ark. For instance Okular had no problem opening cbr files with a parent folder i.e. : parent folder/ >folder1 >folder2 While cbr files without the parent folder didn't work: >folder1 >folder2 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a cbr file that doesn't have a parent folder with Okular Actual Results: Get Okular error message saying "Could not open file:///home/user/comics.cbr." Expected Results: Open the comic cbr file with Okular
I made a test by archiving with rar, and the cbr file worked even though there was no parent folder. The other difference is that my cbr file had Mode "drwxr-xr-x" while the cbr that didn't work had "...D..." Mode. I don't know how to make a rar file with "...D..." Mode to test it.

They were "......." when opened with Ark
Please attach such a file

I don't know what the copyright is with that manga, so I don't know if I should attach it to the bug report.

Okular can't open from volume 44 to 50 I think.
Yeaaaaaaaaah, i'm not going to download a torrent with random pirated stuff from the internet, please provide an actual file you can share with us that has this problem.
Well, the files are around 60mb and I can't edit them. So I guess the only way is to wait and find other such files or install Windows and start testing with winrar and different archive options because I don't know how to get the "......." modes on the files with rar on Linux.
