What colorspace does your image use?
@ Halla Rempt I see this behaviour when using sRGB-elle-V2-srgbtrc (newly created 8 bit document and Krita's default if I'm not mistaken) and ProPhoto RGB (imported 16 bit tiff) Just to be sure I also just tried Rec2020-elle-V4-g10. Same result.

I did some more testing and ran into another issue with this specific filter. Not sure if it is related, so I add it to this issue. Power and Slope do not work when a new document is created from within Krita. This issue does not show when you import/drop an external document into Krita. The issue can be solved (half) by increasing the default 0,0,0 setting in the Offset option to 1,1,1. This will make Power functional, Slope will still not work, though. This issue is specific to 5 Beta (tested with krita-5.0.0-beta5 and krita-5.0.0-beta5-git_0e4b844-x86), it does not show up on 4.4.8 I uploaded 2 video's that show both scenarios. This is not 8 bits and the default profile specific (as shown in the video). I also tried combinations of 8, 16 or 32 bit with different profiles: Same result. The initial problem, Power showing the complementary colour, is seen in all of the examples.
Nor sure why this is the case, I'm not a developer/technician, but power working the opposite as expected and the other 2 doing what is expected is the way it is supposed to be working. Closing this (non-)issue.
