SUMMARY *** I've been running kmail and accessing my gmail account for years, however after a recent update a few days ago I get the following message "Unable to login to the server "pop.gmail.com". Could not login to pop.gmail.com. The server terminated the connection immediately. " I've tried generating a new app password, multiple times, checked all the server info, still can't receive emails. However here's the odd thing. I can send emails via the gmail account. This all started happening after the recent KDE neon upgrade to 5.23.4. My gmail password is stored in my KDEwallet which I can login to and see the passwords. Re-entering the password manually still doesn't work. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE Use an existing gmail account that's already setup in kmail2 and try to receive email. Gmail server disconnects immediately. OBSERVED RESULT Cannot receive gmail emails but can send via gmail smtp.
