SUMMARY I wasn't sure whether or not to file this under dolphin or under the appropriate framework. The reason I decided to file it under dolphin is because most other kde apps that use kcommandbar don't really switch the view the way that dolphin does when you change the folder. Anyways, the problem is that when you navigate to a folder. If you launch kcommandbar and choose one of the create file or folder options. The file or folder will be created in one of the previous directories you traversed to get there. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open dolphin 2. Navigate to a folder. I am usually going about 5 folders deep when this happens. Although it does happen earlier as well. 3. Launch Kcommandbar 4. Search for create a new text file option and hit enter. 5. Type in a name and hit enter. 6. This may or may not trigger it. If the file is created this time. Then continue following the next steps. 7. Navigate to one more folder 8. Launch Kcommandbar once more. 9. Search for create a new text file option and hit enter. 10. Type in a name and hit enter. OBSERVED RESULT The file won't be there. Instead it will be in the previous directory. EXPECTED RESULT The file should be in the current directory SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: EndeavourOS KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.88.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.15.7-zen1-1-zen (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz Memory: 15.4 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 620
