These icons are not sharp but are instead rather blurry. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Dolphin 2. Cannot reproduce with current git master. 1. What size is being used? 16x16 or 22x22? 2. Are you using any screen scaling? 3. Does it happen in KDE apps' open/save dialogs too?
1. How do I check the used icon size? 2. No - I am using both of my monitors with their native resolution (1920x1080) 3. I just checked KWrite and in the Save As dialog, the icons are sharp as expected. They are however also smaller than the ones displayed in Dolphin

Alright - so the icon size is 22x22. I also checked the other icon sizes and for those, the icons don't seem to be blurry (regardless of whether I chose larger or smaller icons). So it seems that this issue (for me) is restricted to the 22x22 icon size. Inside the save dialog of KWrite this issue doesn't occur though (even when setting to the same icon 22x22 icon size) - except that the pictures and Music icon appear just slightly unsharp. But definitely not as bad as in Dolphin (where all icons are blurred and these maybe a little more than the others)
Since Frameworks 5.89 has been released, can you upgrade to that version and see if it's fixed now?

OK, seems like a Dolphin-specific issue then. Weird. Cannot reproduce at 200% scale in the Wayland session when using 22px icons. Does it happen with any other icons themes, or just Breeze?
Using the Adwaita icon theme also has the same issue
Oh - from your comment I take it that you are trying to reproduce this on Wayland, right? Maybe the issue is also X11-specific (which is what I am using)?
Should be fixed in the next Dolphin version.
