STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. I tried to suspend in Wayland. It works! 2. I tried to resume in Wayland. Lights gets on, system boots, backlights in monitors gets on, but there is no image in wayland. 3. I have to reset the system to get it working again OBSERVED RESULT -I have no problems in X11. Only Wayland. -I tried it disabling kscreenlocker. It is not a solution. -My graphic card is an NVIDIA 1050 TI. I use 475 series driver. (official repo in Opensuse) - Ctl+ALt +F1 (or F2...) no works, There is no way to get a terminal / session until rebooting. I connect to my PC via SSH and get this log.: ##################################### [ 173.449129] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdc] Synchronizing SCSI cache [ 173.449273] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdc] Stopping disk [ 173.452802] sd 3:0:0:0: [sdd] Synchronizing SCSI cache [ 173.452834] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Synchronizing SCSI cache [ 173.452881] sd 3:0:0:0: [sdd] Stopping disk [ 173.453820] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Stopping disk [ 173.464819] sd 1:0:0:0: [sdb] Synchronizing SCSI cache [ 173.464871] sd 5:0:0:0: [sde] Synchronizing SCSI cache [ 173.465573] sd 1:0:0:0: [sdb] Stopping disk [ 173.465668] sd 5:0:0:0: [sde] Stopping disk [ 174.606335] ACPI: Preparing to enter system sleep state S3 [ 174.608895] PM: Saving platform NVS memory [ 174.609000] Disabling non-boot CPUs ... Can you try again in the Plasma 5.25 beta or the 5.25 final release on a month? Thanks!
Yes, I did recently. I have opensuse 15.4 updated with plasma 5.25 and with last Nvidia drivers. Yes, now bug diferent, but its still a bug Now, kwin_wayland doesn't allow suspend the pc. I got and error in dmesg. After 20.1 seconds, pc resume by itself. If you need, i cant attach the error. Thank for answering
Ok, thanks! Sounds like the original issue is fixed now; can you file a new bug report for that new issue? Thanks again!
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #3) > Ok, thanks! Sounds like the original issue is fixed now; can you file a new > bug report for that new issue? Thanks again! I have just tested it now, and suspend its working now! Its working perfectly. (I suspended several times) However, plasma+ nvidia+wayland is still unestable-> frozen panels, plasma crash. PD . I don't have plasma 5.25beta. There is no a created "kwin package" in Opensuse yet, so I have a mix of 5.25b and 5.24 dependencies. I will tested again with all packages updated.
