Currently used open/close Fade animation looks a bit clumsy and shallow and it might be more eye-candy for end user to have Glide animation by default.

Glide is a bit fancier looking, yeah. Not a bad idea, I agree.

I think Scale is nice too. Both are nicer than Fade IMO. How do you feel about that one?

They are quite similar but I think Glide's animation is a bit more "fancy" than Scale.

Looks like we ended up going with Scale instead of Glide. See https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/merge_requests/1845
