On starting DigiKam, an error window pops up "There are 2 actions (Open Command Bar, Add Images) that want to use the same shortcut  (CTRL+ALT+I). This is most probably a bug.  Please report it.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This was reported fix in 7.1.0 Bug #439490, but this still happens in 7.2.0

Please check with 7.4.0 pre-version of AppImage bundle to see if problem still here :
