Description rubythewolf1921 2021-12-06 22:43:37 UTC
SUMMARY
Every time after the first one it thinks I'm taking the color I already have selected when over the canvas
Same bug on the seam and free website version.
I'm on a Windows 10 operating system
This has been going on for a while, a month or more.
Works fine or reference images.
Doesn't matter if its a new or old document
doesn't matter what brush

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a file, new or old
2. Press control or click the eyedropper
3. Click on the canvas, works fine
4. Switch the color
5. Click the canvas again. It thinks your new color is the one you have selected

OBSERVED RESULT
Every time after the first one it thinks I'm taking the color I already have selected when over the canvas

EXPECTED RESULT
The eyedropper picks the color you are hovering over. Whether on a refinance image or canvas

SOFTWARE
Windows: 10

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
For a while, It only worked on the canvas so I looked at the eyedropper settings (I didn't change anything) and then I think the next day swapped to the opposite, and my current problem.

Hey there,

Can you please check a couple things for me:

1. If you look at the "Tool Options" docker while the Color Sampler tool is active, is it set to "Sample All Visible Layers" or "Sample Current Layer"? If it is set to "Sample Current Layer", can you make sure that there is some content in the current layer in the position that you're trying to sample from.

2. What is the "Blend" slider set to? (This setting is also in the Tool Options docker whenever the Color Sampler tool is active.) When it's set to 100% it will pick the exact color of the canvas, and anything lower than that will mix in some amount of the previous active color.

3. It also might be worth checking that the "Radius" option is set to something that you'd expect. A radius that's too big might cause the sampled colors to be somewhat unexpected.

Ok, It was the blend. It was set to 0.
Thank you.
