SUMMARY
Moving a panel to the left/right sides then back to top/bottom causes margins to stop being applied, moving the panel more, changing themes, or removing and re-adding the margins separators will not fix it, only restarting plasmashell does

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. move a panel with a margins separator so it goes from a horizontal state to a vertical state
2. move it back to the original position
3. margins are not applied

Cannot reproduce in current git master; works for me. Did the panel spacer disappear when you made it horizontal again? I don't see it there.

size is reduced to hardly any pixels but it's still there

Can you reproduce this issue in Plasma 5.27 when using the Wayland session?

fixed now, it's likely that it was already fixed in git master by the time I reported it considering you couldn't reproduce it there at the time and it's gone in 5.27.8 now
