I see this too. I got the phone to stop ringing by unpairing it on my desktop machine. The bug report says "on your Android phone, tap on 'Found' button of KDE Connect app", but I see no such button in the app on my phone.

Bump.

Also just experienced this annoying problem.
I had to force stop the kdeconnect app to stop the ringing.
I accidentally swiped away the ringing notification and it left me no other option to stop the ringing.
Perhaps the notification should be a sticky one, to prevent swiping away.

Created an account just to say that I'm also experiencing this problem... which is weird because it used to work correctly just a few months ago.

Ooops, sorry this was open for so long. Fix incoming.

Fix "find my phone" notification being dismissable

Dismissing the notification caused the alarm to keep playing without a
way to stop it.

I just had this problem as well, version 1.34.4 of KDE Connect.

My phone kept ringing and there was no notification open or available. Looking at the notification history, there was no "Found it" notification from KDE Connect.

My workaround was to open KDE Connect App Info, and do "Force Stop".

KDE Connect needs some way to access the "Found it" functionality from something other than the notification. Also, I would stop the ringing / alarm automatically after 30 seconds or so.

1.34 is the mobile app version... I just tried on my side and I don't have the issue with it. What's the version of the desktop app you're using? It should be at 25 something iirc

I doubt this is an issue with the app, but I'm using whatever is shipped with this:

Operating System: Fedora Linux 43
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.22.0
Qt Version: 6.10.1
Kernel Version: 6.18.5-200.fc43.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 32 × AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16-Core Processor
Memory: 192 GiB of RAM (185.8 GiB usable)
Graphics Processor 1: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT
Graphics Processor 2: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16-Core Processor
Manufacturer: ASUS

Correction: I meant I thought it was probably an issue with the mobile app rather than the desktop app, because the phone does start ringing, which means the desktop app is sending the signal successfully to the mobile app. Its the mobile app that doesn't (always) present any mechanism to stop the ringing.

BTW, most of the time this works just fine. I cannot reproduce it now, for example.

I'm on KDE Neon and have all the same relevant versions for the KDE side of things as you do. I'll try to recreate the bug this weekend because you got me curious. I think I have a spare computer I can install fedora on.
