SUMMARY I'm new at Kubuntu, excuse me if component is wrong.. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Reproduced randomly (no pattern found) OBSERVED RESULT The installed wallpaper on the external monitor changes to default after reboot (not after every reboot, behavior repeats randomly) EXPECTED RESULT The installed wallpaper on the external monitor does not change after a reboot SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 21.10 KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.88.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This bug(?) was noticed at least with KDE Plasma Version 5.23.2 External monitor connected to laptop via HDMI. Hardware configuration: Kernel Version: 5.13.0-22-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i5-8265U CPU @ 1.60GHz RAM: 11.6 Gb Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 620 If you need more information, I will gladly provide it.
Just the wallpaper? Did anything else go wrong too? Like, say, your panels switching screens? Or your desktop icons appearing on a different screen?

Yes, just the wallpaper. All my widgets, panels are placing correctly. That's why it's so annoying sometimes :D
Just noticed that behavior on 5.23.4 version of KDE Plasma.
Are you using X11 or Wayland? Though the bug should be hoepfully fixed by some rework in the primary screen. Please report again if you observe the same behavior on 5.24 (not released yet).
