Created attachment 144084 [details] screeen recording STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. connect an Android device to usb port 2. set the usb mode of your Android device to MTP 3. open Digital Camera KCM 4. select your Android device and click on Test, Configure and Information buttons on top OBSERVED RESULT error messages. I also get error messages when double-clicking the Android device. Please see the attached screen recording. EXPECTED RESULT Digital Camera KCM is useless with an Android device mounted in MTP mode. Therefore, a device mounted in this mode should not be present there. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.89.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Graphics Platform: X11
The mtp device is still appearing in the KCM. Now I do not get error messages at least. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.245.0 Qt Version: 6.6.0 Graphics Platform: Wayland
Thank you for the bug report, and I'm sorry we weren't able to look into it yet. A lot has changed since it was reported; can I ask you to see if this is still an issue with Plasma 6.4 or later? Thanks a lot!
The Android phone mounted in mtp mode is present in the KCM after the provided steps; I'm not sure if this is expected or not. I do not get any error after clicking on the mentioned buttons. Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.20.0 Qt Version: 6.9.2 Graphics Platform: Wayland
Thanks for checking. I think it's expected, as technically it is an external mounted device.
