Description 2797516208 2021-11-28 03:24:09 UTC
SUMMARY
I use latte to set a top panel and currently the background color of the panel follows the theme settings. And normally that looks fine with KDE applications.

However, for some other applications it may looks bad. For example, some application's window color or main color doesn't go well with the theme color and so it looks fragmented.

So I wonder if the background color could vary with the maximized active window color.
Or if that's hard to achieve, it will also be wonderful that we can customize the background color manually for certain applications when it's maximized.

you can use latte autocolor: https://userbase.kde.org/LatteDock/FAQ#How_can_I_autocolor_my_panel_based_on_specific_application.3F

Uh...It seems the script only works with applications that use the KDE default window titlebar. Is that right?
If so, then what to do with applications without default titlebar? For these applications, right click on the titlebar and there's nothing appeared.

you need to add a manual kwin rule from plasma systemsettings -> window management -> window rules
in order to identify those. In there you will see also all those rules you have already added from right clicking your titlebars.

Thanks for that. It works perfectly!
And Latte Dock Wiki is such a useful stuff! I also notice that there are several kinds of translations of the wiki but no Chinese translations. So I make a translation of Chinese and I'll send it to `mvourlakos@gmail.com`. Hope that will be useful!
