SUMMARY:

Display issue on Places category names when go up the Places list using keyboard (UP key).
And you CAN'T either go full top of the list, the scrollbar (and list itself) are stuck few pixel BEFORE reaching the top)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open dolphin
2. Put focus on the Places panel (double click one item of the list in the places panel, scroll bar must be highlighted)
3. Go down the list until one Places category name get masked because up in the list
4. Go UP the list using ONLY keyboard (UP arrow key), one by one item, until the Places category name get unmasked

OBSERVED RESULT

Watch Demo.gif

The category name and first item of the category get "merged" (see A in screenshoot '1 Using up key BAD.jpg')
Notice that you CAN'T either go full top of the list (see B in screenshoot '1 Using up key BAD.jpg' ), the scrollbar is stuck BEFORE reaching the top).

No problem when using the scroll bar or the mouse wheel ( see C and D in screenshoot '2 Using Scrollbar OK.jpg' )

It seems to me that the problem only appears when going up the list, and only by using the up arrow key, it might be necessary to check if it also occurs when using a touch screen.

EXPECTED RESULT
No "merged" category name and item, top of the list reached, same for the scrollbar

See Screenshoot "2 Using Scrollbar OK.jpg"

confirmed and found more

I can reproduce and confirm, and while I was testing it I found more.
At the bottom of places there's the category "Dispositivos". It shows the hard disks and other mounted places. The items there are underscored by color lines showing the amount of used space. With the scroll bar appearing, put the mouse about the scroll bar and scroll with the mouse wheel one step up. The colored lines glitch and are transferred to the items at the top of the list. When I decreased the size of the window more the glitch got worse.
If you scroll again the lines disappear.
If you scroll with the mouse about the places area it still happens but the lines vanishes in a blink.

I believe this is obsolete now with Dolphin being ported back to KFilePlacesView

Yup, sure is.
