SUMMARY
***
NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select custom accent color
2. Check any applet (Volume, Calendar, Ntifications etc)

OBSERVED RESULT

Applets are using default blue accent, while the rest of the system uses custom accent color successfully.

EXPECTED RESULT

Applets are using selected custom accent color just like the rest of plasma

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora Linux 35 KDE Spin
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.88.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I think it used to work, but after KDE Framework update to 5.88 it reverted to current behaviour. It was a quick succession of updated KDE Plasma 5.22 -> 5.23.2 -> 5.23.3, Framework 5.87 -> 5.88 within a few days, I'm not sure which part contributed exactly.

Are you using the Breeze Dark plasma theme instead of just the "Breeze" Plasma theme? If so, does it work if you use the "Breeze" Plasma theme and set the color scheme (not the Plasma theme) to "Breeze Dark"?

I am using Breeze Twilight theme, but I guess it both applies dark theme to the panels and applets. Indeed Breeze (Light) works as expected, but both Dark and Twilight has this problem.

Actually I was wrong, it's only the Twilight theme, with plasma restart Dark theme also works as expected. Twilight is the only one affected, but now Fedora KDE uses Twilight as a default theme.
