STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. enable both 'Track Mouse' and 'Overview' effects in Desktop Effects KCM
2. activate 'Overview' effect by pressing its default keyboard shortcut meta+ctrl+d
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
'Track Mouse' and Overview' effects are activated at the same time
or kwin_waykand hangs and you need to force reboot.

EXPECTED RESULT
only 'Overview' effect is activated and the system remains usable

No, they don't. The track mouse effect doesn't have a shortcut assigned to it by default.

Could you get the backtrace of kwin when it's frozen? I can't reproduce the bug.

effects/overview: Change default shortcut to Meta+W

Ctrl+Meta+D is already taken by the Minimize All script. "W" in Meta+W
stands for "window". Meta+O wasn't chosen because it's one of a
finger-stretcher.

The bug is still happening when I use meta+ctrl+d to activate Overview effect.
