Description Jasen 2021-11-17 16:32:45 UTC
Application: DiscoverNotifier (5.23.3)

Qt Version: 5.15.2
Frameworks Version: 5.88.0
Operating System: Linux 5.13.0-21-generic x86_64
Windowing System: Wayland
Distribution: Ubuntu 21.10
DrKonqi: 5.23.3 [KCrashBackend]

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
This happends when i wake from sleep.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
My kde plasma bar dissapears and i need to restart it. I get crash reports after i use krunner to restart it. I would ignore the crash but it keeps poping up and i end up needing to restart the entire computer.

- Custom settings of the application:
Everything works great until i wake from sleep and i cant live without the sleep feature. Maybe i will be forced too with this bug.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

-- Backtrace:
Application: Discover Notifier (DiscoverNotifier), signal: Aborted

Is this the only thing that crashes, or do other things crash too? I can't be 100% sure but I think what is happening is that the notifier is crashing because KWin crashed, which happens on Wayland. The root cause is the KWin crash. Can you see using the `coredumpctl` utility if there's a kwin_wayland backtrace? See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports#Retrieving_a_backtrace_using_coredumpctl
