Picture highlighting the button I am talking about

The button shown in the attachment "volume_1.png" should open the audio system settings panel rather than the settings menu for the applet. The applet settings button should instead be in the hamburger menu.

When I'm trying to configure my audio devices, my first instinct on what to click is the settings button in the volume mixer that has the hover text "Configure Audio Volume". It doesn't actually open the System Settings audio tab. It's rather confusing because the same button in other tray icons do open their respective System Settings menu. For example, see the Networking, Bluetooth, Notifications, or Disks and Devices tray icons.

Will be fixed automatically by the fix for Bug 443356, and we can't fix it independently of that. Marking as a duplicate.
