SUMMARY powerdevil reports a totally useless warning to the Journal on every login. The warning is about "no kernel backlight interface found", which not surprising on a desktop PC. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use a desktop PC and login 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT The Journal contains a warning "no kernel backlight interface found". EXPECTED RESULT On a desktop PC this should probably either be a debug output or completely removed. Until more specific conditions are implemented, downgrading this to LOG_INFO seems to be fine according to https://www.man7.org/linux/man-pages/man3/syslog.3.html.
