Description Francois Prunier 2021-11-10 11:04:18 UTC
SUMMARY

Having the history page opened inside system monitor is making the whole desktop laggy, whether it is shown or not

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open system monitor under a wayland session
2. Display the 'History' view

OBSERVED RESULT
FPS drop from 60fps to < 30fps, make firefox scrolling laggy, even the mouse pointer

EXPECTED RESULT

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Kubuntu 21.10 with backports PPA
KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.87.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
It happens whether the app is running in the background or not, all the other pages do not show this behavior, so it's probably related the graph code. My machine is using an intel processor with the integrated GPU (HD graphics 4600).

It gets a little bit better if I change the minimum time between updates to 2s but it's still laggy
