I cannot reproduce this, however, my Mac Mini 2010 no longer gets updates from Apple and is stuck at macOS 10.13 (High Sierra), so I cannot test with macOS 12. Consequently, my build tools are not current either. There have been reported other similar problems with recent versions of macOS and it is likely that the build from the KDE binary factory, which uses a recent toolchain, could solve this problem. Get the latest artifact from https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kid3_Nightly_macos/ and check if it solves the problem.

I have now updated my cross build environment to use Qt 5.15.2 and the macOS 11.1 SDK. Could you please check for version git20211121 from https://sourceforge.net/projects/kid3/files/kid3/development/ if it still works and if it solves the problem?

Fixed in version 3.9.0.
