Description Frank Steinmetzger 2021-11-05 19:02:52 UTC
SUMMARY
When the terminal is opened in dolphin (at the bottom of the window), its path is updated whenever the path of the main view changes. This includes switching between the two sides of the split view mode. But when the active panel of a split view is closed, the path is not updated.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open dolphin and activate split view
2. Display two different locations in each panel of split view
3. Close split view (with the setting to close the active panel)

OBSERVED RESULT
The path in the terminal does not change back.

EXPECTED RESULT
The path shall reflect the remaining view.

Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.87.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.14.16-arch1-1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30GHz
Memory: 31.0 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: AMD PITCAIRN

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
On a sidenote, the path does not always update to begin with. It seems there has to be a certain waiting period between switching panels. If I switch back and forth too quickly, the cd command is not always issued.
