Description postix 2021-11-05 12:10:18 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have a panel on the bottom and a window maximized
2. Move the panel to the top
3. Adjust the panel in size

OBSERVED RESULT
The panel is now on the top but the "maximized" windows stays where it is: It's now partly covered by the panel and there's empty space at the bottom.

EXPECTED RESULT
The window is readjusted to fill the available space (beneath the panel)

CURRENT WORKAROUND
Press Meta and drag the window downwards, then click on the icon in the titlebar to maximize it manually again.

Cannot reproduce on Wayland. Can you?
Comment 2 postix 2021-11-08 20:43:57 UTC
I cannot reproduce it at all any longer, weird. Maybe it was fixed by some update shortly. :)
