Description Johannes Krottmayer 2021-11-04 13:56:50 UTC
On my system (openSUSE Leap 15.2) Plasma loses it's configuration after a few indefinite logins. Plasma overwrites the settings for all applets and wallpaper to default settings without a warning. The only way to get to the previous configuration to create a backup of the configuration file "~/.config/org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc" and copy it back after this issue. I have already asked this in the official KDE forum, but didn't get a answer how to debug this issue.

Is there a way how to debug this behavior? Or which component in Plasma could trigger this type of issue? Have searched in sources but currently haven't found the specific component. I'm prepared to help solve this issue. But without my full knowledge of the source code for this related component, I currently cannot narrow down this issue. So I would be habby if somebody can give me a hint.
