Created attachment 143013 [details] How buttons look in Plasma 5.22 SUMMARY After upgrading to Plasma 5.23, a selected button no longer looks more highlighted when focused than when unfocused. OBSERVED RESULT Please see the attached pictures. EXPECTED RESULT It should be easy to recognize whether a button is focused or not, as it used to be before Plasma 5.23. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.87.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.14.14-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Created attachment 143014 [details] How buttons look in Plasma 5.23 I forgot to say, although it can be deduced from the pictures: I'm using the normal Breeze color scheme.
This is fixed in 5.24. Unfortunately, the fix just missed the window of time for 5.23 and since it was technically implemented as a new feature (focus isn't conceptually new, but the way it was implemented matters), it wasn't cherry-picked into bug fix versions of 5.23. It works pretty well though and we've had some extra time to test it, so I wonder if it could be cherry picked into 5.23.3 after all.
