SUMMARY In Plasma 5.22.x on wayland, I could use my android phone with kde connect to move my mouse via the "remote input" plugin. My mouse is not moved when swiping my fingers across the screen in the android app (tested f-droid and google play build). Other parts of KDE connect work fine. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Be on plasma 5.23.2 2. try kde connect remote input plugin 3. notice your mouse doesn't move at all OBSERVED RESULT remote input plugin doesn't work EXPECTED RESULT remote input plugin to work SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 35 KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.87.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.14.14-300.fc35.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-7300U CPU @ 2.60GHz Memory: 7.6 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 620 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
this works fine for me on Plasma master
Thanks for the bug report! There were some fixes for remote input in 5.27, see bug 448604 comment 4. I am able to use remote input on Wayland in both directions. I'm marking this as resolved accordingly. In case you are still experiencing trouble with Remote input from mobile device to PC on Wayland, please see bug 471258 (to the bug it's marked as a duplicate of should it become marked as such later)
