Is there any circumstance when you CAN successfully save the file? Why are you trying to save your file under the C:\Program Files directory? That area is almost always write protected except from the system itself. You should almost certainly have your kmy file under your home area. Also, please help us help you and provide more information, such as which version of Windows, and which version of KMyMoney, although in this case, I do believe your problem is where you are trying to save the file. Is that really where it lives? If so, I'm not sure how you created it in the first place.
