SUMMARY

When using a dual display configuration you cannot set the primary display. After a reboot, if the secondary display is connected it is chose as the default display.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect secondary display
2. Start-up system 
3. Login
4. voila, the wrong display is selected
5. Sometimes there are no desktop icons until I hit F5

Sorry this happened, and sorry no one got back to you about it sooner. This kind of thing got a lot of attention over the past two years and the code governing it is quite different now. Any chance you can check to see if the issue is still reproducible in Plasma 5.27.4? Thanks!
