SUMMARY
Using an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER, kde will not start past sddm with Nvidia blob drivers. Though it will start if I'm on the root account or using nouveau graphics.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable Nvidia graphics, blacklist nouveau graphics
2. Reboot
3. Login with SDDM on a nonroot account

OBSERVED RESULT
The throbbed will stop spinning and tty becomes unavailable

EXPECTED RESULT
KDE desktop starts

X11 or Wayland? What version of the NVIDIA driver are you using?

The driver version is nvidia-drivers-495.29.05-r1
This is an issue on X11, I do not know about Wayland as I do not use it.
