Get message 'Could not move to trash' after confirming this is what I want.

The .dtrash folder is located in your root collection, it certainly does not have the correct permission and cannot be written to. Delete it, the next time you try to delete an image it will be created again.

Since the problem has occurred several times recently, is there a cause for you? Was digiKam installed under a different user, was the collection copied or something similar so that the file rights to .dtrash no longer match?
